AI Summarization Erodes Personality

Am I the only one concerned about all these "summarization"s the AIs offer?

I understand, summarizing a book, an article, or a talk is useful. We have been doing it for ages in creating reports or presentations. Anything work-related may be summarized to increase productivity.

But summarizing personal messages? Doesn't it feel de-humanizing to reduce people's messages to "key points"?! Doesn't the text itself hold any value?! We talk less and often message each other as it is. Now imagine those texts get summarized into points and tasks! What will remain of the actual content from another human being?

I assume this feature allows choosing which conversations to summarize. However, I haven't seen this concern mentioned anywhere. They advertise it as a general tool aiming at all types of conversations, including personal one.
